A word

To me SolTerra
Communications exemplifies community life by bringing to
light the beauty of our environment, our community, and how
the two interact. Through our video productions we hope to
inspire you to take an active part in your community.
While
attending Northland College I started many environmental
programs and eventually became involved with Roots &
Shoots, a program of the Jane Goodall Institute. This lead
me to my first Roots & Shoots College Summit in Fort
Worth, Texas where I met Jane Goodall. She has inspired me
to make my life a voice for our environment, community, and
youth. Jane helped lay the foundation for my vision of
working with youth, the disabled, and my surrounding
community. In fact I was so excited from meeting Dr. Goodall
that I came back to Northern Wisconsin and hired a local
puppeteer, Chris Lutter, and his company, Puppet Farm
Community Arts, to design a giant puppet to excite people
about the environment and community. Through the work of
Chris, myself, and many local volunteers, Sunny, a 20-foot
bicycling puppet, came to life. Since then Sunny, my wife
Kelly, and members of Puppet Farm Arts have traveled various
places including several Roots & Shoots festivals
spreading the word of sustainability. During 2006 my
children's book, Jane and the Giant Puppets, will be
available to tell the whole story of how Sunny, and our
other giant puppets have made an impact on people across the
globe.

The work of SolTerra
Communications is creating video documentaries that help
bring people closer together by inspiring them to become a
voice for their environment and their community. Because as
Jane Goodall says, "Everyone can make a difference."
